Ukraine will receive F-16 fighter jets equipped with advanced missiles, which will significantly strengthen the air component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the report, the F-16 Fighting Falcon is a powerful fourth-generation aircraft expected to enhance Ukraine's current fleet, which consists of old Soviet fighters. However, the effectiveness of the F-16 is partly determined by the weaponry it carries.

“Top U.S. generals and Ukrainian officials have warned that while the fifty-year-old F-16 is an effective combat platform capable of performing both offensive and defensive missions, it will not change the situation. It will still operate in a challenging operational environment in Ukraine and is likely to become a primary target for Russian air defense systems. Additionally, there simply aren't enough planes in Kyiv. Nevertheless, it can accomplish a lot,” the report stated.
