European gas prices plunge after US-Iran ceasefire

Gas prices in Europe dropped sharply on Wednesday following the announcement of a temporary ceasefire between the United States and Iran, falling by 18.5% to $518.6 per 1,000 cubic meters at the start of trading.

Axar.az informs that this information was released by the London ICE exchange.

According to the data, May (front-month) TTF index futures opened at $518.6 (-18.5%) at 10:00 Baku time.

“At 10:15 Baku time, the price stood at $529.3 (-16.8%). The price dynamics are based on the previous trading day’s calculated price of $597.6 per 1,000 cubic meters.”
