Iran, Azerbaijan trade through Bilasuvar exceeds $190M

During a visit to the Bilasuvar Customs Administration, Ardabil Province Governor Masoud Emami Yeganeh said that more than $190 million worth of trade was carried out through the Bilasuvar customs point in the first five months of the year.

Axar.az reports, citing IRNA, that Emami Yeganeh said that more than $100 million worth of products from Ardabil Province were exported through the customs point during this period, while $90 million worth of goods and raw materials needed by manufacturing units were imported.

He added that efforts are underway to coordinate with the customs authorities of Iran and Azerbaijan to enable the Bilasuvar customs point to operate 24 hours a day, with the aim of facilitating exports and imports.

Emami Yeganeh also said that a business delegation from Ardabil Province, accompanied by Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, is scheduled to make its third official visit to Baku in the near future.
