Netherlands investment in Azerbaijan hits $60.1 million

Direct investment from the Netherlands into Azerbaijan’s economy totaled $60.1 million in the first half of this year.

Axar.az reports, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that this is three times, or $40.3 million, more than in the same period last year.

The Netherlands accounted for 1.6% of total foreign direct investment in Azerbaijan in January-June.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan invested $11.05 million in the Dutch economy, a sixfold increase year-on-year. These investments accounted for 0.2% of Azerbaijan’s total foreign investment.

It should be noted that foreign direct investment in Azerbaijan’s economy amounted to $3.666 billion in January-June this year, up 13.8% year-on-year, while Azerbaijan invested $5 billion abroad, a 3.7-fold increase.
