Azerbaijan plans to finance most of the projected 2027 state budget deficit through borrowing.

Axar.az reports, citing the Ministry of Finance, that borrowing of 2.751 billion manats is planned, accounting for 86.9% of the projected deficit of 3.166 billion manats.

In addition, 275 million manats is expected to come from the projected balance of the single treasury account at the beginning of 2027, while 140 million manats is planned to be financed through privatization proceeds.
