US allocates $ 1 billion to Eastern and Central Europe

The United States will allocate $ 1 billion for energy security projects in Central and Eastern Europe.

Axar.az reports this was stated by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

He said the assistance would be provided as part of a "three seas" initiative to promote regional dialogue. According to him, this will help to ensure energy security in the region.

The Three Seas Initiative is also known as the Baltic-Adriatic-Black Sea Initiative. It unites Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Czech Republic, and Estonia.
