Bitcoin surpasses $54,000 for the first time

Bitcoin grew by 5.41% and peaked at $54,393, Coindesk reported on Friday. Thus, the price of the cryptocurrency has renewed its historical maximum.

Axar.az reports that earlier, the capitalization of bitcoin exceeded $1 trillion.

As of 19:38 Moscow time, bitcoin accelerated growth to 5.8% and reached $54,612.

Bitcoin is a decentralized system of eponymous cryptocurrency based on blockchain technology. It can be issued by any user who is a member of the system. The system concept was published in November 2008 but has exploded in popularity in recent years.
