Azerbaijan ensures additional supply of up to 500 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas a year to Georgia, Rovnag Abdullayev, president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told.

Abdullayev made this statement during the second Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council Meeting in Baku.

"Previously, we supplied 800 mcm of gas a year to Georgia from the Shah Deniz field,” he said. “Today we have managed to increase the supply volume up to 1.5 bcm through this field and up to 1.5 bcm via a pipeline connecting the two countries in the Gazakh district of Azerbaijan."
