Gold reaches historic milestone trading above $3,000

For the first time in history, gold futures have crossed the elusive $3,000 per ounce threshold.

Axar.az, at the New York COMEX, the price of April gold futures rose by 0.32%, reaching $3,000.80 per ounce.

Silver futures for one ounce in May also saw a 0.84% increase, climbing to $34.60.
