A mine explosion occurred today in the territory of Jamillar village in the liberated Shusha district, Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that, citing the press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) issued a statement in this regard.

According to the statement, a vehicle driven by Bakhtiyar Mirza Bayramov, a Baku resident born in 1979, hit an anti-tank mine in an uncleared area along the former line of contact.

Bakhtiyar Bayramov sustained injuries of varying severity in the incident.

The Shusha District Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the incident.

ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General’s Office once again called on citizens to comply with safety rules, pay close attention to mine warning signs, refrain from touching suspicious objects, avoid entering unfamiliar areas, and not interfere with areas where fencing activities are being carried out.

The condition of a man injured in a mine explosion in Shusha has been disclosed.

The State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance (TABIB) said that a 1979-born man injured in a mine explosion in the area of Jamillar village in the liberated Shusha district was hospitalized at the Central Oil Workers Hospital at around 10:20 a.m. on September 28, 2026.

Medical examinations revealed a laceration to the crown of the head, a minimal fracture of the transverse process of the L1 vertebra, a linear fracture of the sternum, abrasions in various parts of the body, and a first-degree burn to the right upper limb.

The patient received the necessary medical assistance. His condition is currently assessed as satisfactory, and treatment is continuing in the General Surgery and Organ Transplantation Department.
