On September 30, 2025, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Wyatt Tolkin, Senior Advisor for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, and Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy, Amy Carlone.

Axar.az informs, citing Azerbaijani MFA, during the meeting, the parties discussed Azerbaijan–U.S. relations, issues arising from the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a Strategic Working Group to prepare the Strategic Partnership Charter, the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process and the implementation of the Washington agreements within this framework, as well as regional and international security matters of mutual interest.

It was noted that reciprocal visits by officials and representatives of the two countries play a significant role in the development of bilateral relations.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
