It was noted that the administrative office of the embassy is located on Via Conciliazione, the main street leading to St. Peter's Basilica, very close to the Apostolic Palace of the Vatican. Official institutions belonging to the Vatican, as well as administrative offices of several embassies accredited to the Holy See, are also located here.
It was noted that in recent years, relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Holy See have been developing on an upward trajectory in the spirit of mutual interests, respect, and fruitful cooperation, and this cooperation is gradually deepening and diversifying.
Then, First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin exchanged views over tea on bilateral relations and issues of the international agenda, as well as other topics of mutual interest.
Considering that the Holy See is a spiritual and ideological center for more than a billion Catholics in the world, the activities of Azerbaijan's diplomatic mission here are of particular importance in terms of conveying the realities of our country to the world community.
