On the occasion of November 8 - Victory Day and November 9 - National Flag Day, the Azerbaijani flag was projected on the World Trade Center and the tallest skyscraper in Times Square in New York.

Axar.az reports that the action was carried out at the initiative of the American-Azerbaijani Youth Federation and with the support of the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the UN.

The illumination began at 17:00 local time (02:00 Baku time) and continued for 8 hours, repeating every 5 minutes. The light show, decorated with the colors of the Azerbaijani flag, created a magnificent view visible from different points of the city.

As part of the action, New York residents and tourists watched the buildings on which the Azerbaijani flag was projected with great interest and admiration.
