On November 21-22, 2025, a group of Armenian civil society representatives visited Azerbaijan within the framework of the “Peace Bridge” Initiative.
Axar.az reports that during the visit, the Initiative’s representatives from Armenia, Areg Kochinyan, Boris Navasardyan, Naira Sultanyan, Narek Minasyan and Samvel Meliksetyan, met with their Azerbaijani colleagues Farhad Mammadov, Rusif Huseynov, Kamala Mammadova, Ramil Iskanderli and Fuad Abdullayev.
During the meeting, the dynamics of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the role of civil society in the restoration of dialogue and joint projects to be implemented in the near future were discussed, as well as topical issues of interest to both societies related to the peace process.
In addition, an agreement was reached to intensify joint activities in the media space, establish direct contacts between expert groups, and involve civil societies of Azerbaijan and Armenia more widely in the peace process.
It was also decided to continue business-level relations and mutual visits to both countries within the framework of the “Peace Bridge” Initiative.
During the visit, the members of the “Peace Bridge” Initiative met with Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration.
During the exchange of views, which took place in a cordial atmosphere, the steps taken by Azerbaijan and Armenia to strengthen the peace agenda after the Washington meeting were discussed. Hikmat Hajiyev answered the questions of the members of the Initiative.
