Progressive developments are taking place in the region as Turkey pauses military operations in Syria as part of an agreement with the US.

Axar.az reports citing Telegraph.com that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has come to Idlib for the first time since the outbreak of the civil war.

Assad met with the Syrian army in Hubaid.

Hubaid was taken under control of the Syrian army on August 11.

The ceasefire announced on August 31 under the patronage of Russia and Turkey is still ongoing in the province of Idlib, where 3 million people live.
