Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov commemorated the national leader of our nation, the architect and founder of our modern independent state Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honor on December 3 and laid a wreath at his grave during an official visit to Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that a well-known ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva was remembered and flowers were laid on her grave too.

Later, the Minister visited the Alley of Martyrs, commemorating the heroic sons of our country who died in the fight for the freedom and sovereignty of our country and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
