A meeting was held between Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, and Fakhraddin Altun, Chairman of the Communications Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Turkey.

Axar.az reports that during the meeting, Hajiyev said that Turkey stood by Azerbaijan in the Great Patriotic War.

He also noted that during the 44-day war, the media of the brotherly country did a great job to convey the true voice of Azerbaijan to the world:

"We thank Turkey for its media support to Azerbaijan and appreciate it."
