The Iranian government simulated the Hajj ceremony -

On the initiative of the Iranian government and a number of religious centres, a simulation of Hajj is being carried out in different cities.

Axar.az informs that Iranian media reported on this.

During the ceremonies, religious rites are performed around a cardboard model of the Kaaba in Mecca.

It should be noted that 7 years ago, after the political tension with Saudi Arabia, the Iranian authorities began to conduct extensive propaganda campaigns about keeping the funds spent on the Hajj ceremony in the country and spending it on other areas. From that period, the Hajj pilgrimage is simulated in different cities, mobile Kaaba scarecrows are carried around the regions. In recent weeks, after the agreement on the softening of relations between the two countries, it was assumed that Iran's ghostly Kaaba would be removed.
