The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan personnel visited the Alley of Second Martyrs in connection with the third anniversary of the Tovuz battles.

Bunches of flowers were placed on the graves of Azerbaijan's national heroes Major-General Polad Hashimov, and Colonel Ilgar Mirzayev, who rose to the height of martyrdom during the Tovuz battles, as well as the sons of the Motherland who rose to the size of martyrdom in the fighting for the restoration of the territorial integrity of our republic and the liberation of our historical lands from occupation.

After declaring a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs, the national anthem was played accompanied by a military band.

At the event, the immortality of the martyrs was discussed and it was noted with confidence that their memories will be cherished in the future.

In the end, the heads of departments of the Ministry of Defense met the families of the martyrs and took an interest in their concerns. The families expressed their deep gratitude to Muzaffar Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense for the attention and care shown in their turn.
