On July 18, the delegation led by the head of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, got acquainted with the Old City, which is among the world's cultural heritage monuments, within the framework of a business trip to Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that the walk-in Icherisheher started from the Gosha Gala gate.

First, the guests got acquainted with the 17th-century Underground Bath and Art Center in Icherisheher.

During the trip by electric car, the members of the delegation were informed about the "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve, which is included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, and the improvement and restoration works carried out here. It was noted that there are rare historical architectural monuments of different centuries in the territory of Icherisheher and the state protects them.

After tasting the freshly baked tandoori bread, the guests got acquainted with the Shirvanshahs palace complex, a masterpiece of medieval Eastern architecture, a world-important architectural monument in the Old City.
