German Chancellor Olaf Scholz came to the opening of a new synagogue in Dessau wearing a Jewish kippah.

Axar.az reports that the photo was published on his page on the X social network.

He wrote that the authorities are filling the gaps 85 years after the destruction of the synagogue.

"Jewish life has been and remains a part of Germany," the chancellor said.

He stressed that there is no place for anti-Semitism and incitement of hatred in Germany and that Germany will protect the lives of Jews everywhere and always.
