Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation led by the Chairman of the Board of the American think tank Caspian Policy Center Efgan Nifti today.

The current state of bilateral Azerbaijani-US relations, issues of cooperation in the field of transit, transport and energy in the region, prospects for the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace process and regional issues were discussed during the meeting.
In addition, Bayramov informed about the factors that led to the need for local anti-terrorist measures against illegal formations of the Armenian armed forces and the separatist regime on Azerbaijan's territory, about the provocations committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan recently, threats created by illegal formations of the Armenian armed forces on Azerbaijan's territories. It was noted that when carrying out anti-terrorist measures with high accuracy, only legitimate military targets were taken in sight.
The minister noted that appropriate work is underway to reintegrate the Armenian residents of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and an electronic portal has been created for this purpose.
It was noted that the Armenian residents left Azerbaijan's Karabakh of their own free will and that the statements made following the last visit of UN officials to the region are confirmation of this.
Moreover, the minister, touching upon the issues of Azerbaijan's cooperation with the countries of Central Asia, informed about the work that will be carried out during the chairmanship of Azerbaijan in the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) in 2023, and about the summit that is planned to be held in Baku. It was stressed that there are broad cooperation relations between SPECA member countries and Azerbaijan both at the bilateral intergovernmental level and within the framework of the program.
Bayramov noted that the recent processes taking place in the region have created ample opportunities for international cargo transportation, and stressed that the liberation from the occupation of Azerbaijani territories has given a new impetus to the development of regional transport and logistics routes.
In general, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest during the meeting.
