Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to our country Junichi Wada on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic activity.

At the meeting, it was noted that there is great potential for further development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Japan. In particular, the importance of the development of cooperation in economy, energy, culture, tourism, agriculture, high technologies, education and other fields was emphasized. It was stated that political dialogue and high-level visits between the two countries are important.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov once again brought to the attention of the other party Azerbaijan's position based on the norms and principles of international law regarding the resolution of the conflict, which is the biggest threat to the security of the region, and the restoration of the sovereignty of our country. It was mentioned that the ambassador who was active in our country during this period was a witness of these historical processes. It was pointed out that there are great opportunities for cooperation between our country and Japan within the framework of the Free Economic Zones and the reconstruction works carried out by our country in the post-conflict period, as well as the establishment of green energy zones.
The Ambassador was thanked for his contribution to the development of Azerbaijan-Japan relations and was wished success in his future activities.
Ambassador Junichi expressed his gratitude to Vada for the warm welcome and expressed gratitude for the support he received from the state and government institutions and organizations of Azerbaijan during his activity.
During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were exchanged.
