Today, President of Moldova Maia Sandu received Azerbaijan's ambassador to Moldova, Qudsi Osmanov, who completed his diplomatic activity in Moldova.

Axar.az reports that the head of state of Moldova highly appreciated the relations between the two countries at the meeting and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in several fields and increasing trade volume. Also, the President welcomed the opening of direct flights between Baku and Chisinau by "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC on September 15.

Maya Sandu thanked the Ambassador of Azerbaijan for his efforts in strengthening relations between Chisinau and Baku and awarded him with the Order of "Honor" of the Republic of Moldova.
