Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and President of SOCAR Rovshan Najaf met with Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkiye Alparslan Bayragdar, who is visiting our country.

Axar.az was told by the Ministry of Economy that at the meeting, the Minister of Economy emphasized the effective energy partnership between our countries, that the jointly implemented projects serve regional development, stability, and security, and ensure the strategic interests of Azerbaijan and Turkiye. In this regard, SOCAR's multifaceted activities in Turkiye were noted with satisfaction.

Alparslan Bayragdar, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkiye, shared his views on the development of energy partnerships in line with new global trends. It was noted that the COP29 event, which will be organized in Azerbaijan this year, will stimulate discussions in alternative energy and other fields and open new opportunities for cooperation.

At the meeting, the current and future opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkiye in the fields of economy, including energy, were reviewed, and other issues of mutual interest were exchanged.
