On March 14, the 11th Global Baku Forum on "Fixing the Fractured World" under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center started in Baku, in the "Gulustan" Palace.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev participated in the Forum's opening ceremony.

Ismail Serageldin, co-chairman of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, declared the XI Global Baku Forum open.

The head of state spoke at the opening ceremony.

Then the former President of Latvia and co-chairman of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center Vaira Vike-Freiberga gave a speech.

Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States Binali Yildirim presented a souvenir to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Later, at the Forum, the President of Albania Bayram Begay, the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zeljka Cvijanovic, the Director General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Policy Guy Ryder, the Joint Program on Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome of the UN (UNAIDS) Executive Director Winnie Byanyima, High Representative of the UN Alliance of Civilizations Miguel Angel Moratinos spoke.

Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States Binali Yıldırım read the letters of the President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Ambassador of Great Britain to Azerbaijan Fergus Auld of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak to the participants of the Forum.
