Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with the President of the Malaysian Parliament Senate, Datuk Mutang Tagal, on May 1.

The importance of the World Intercultural Dialogue Forum held in Baku was emphasized at the meeting, and the participation of the President of the Malaysian Parliament Senate in the event was highly appreciated.

It was stated that Azerbaijan-Malaysia friendly relations are developing successfully. It was emphasized that both countries cooperate closely within the framework of international organizations, including the Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

At the same time, satisfaction was expressed with the current level of Azerbaijan-Malaysia inter-parliamentary cooperation.

At the meeting, prospects for expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, humanitarian, and other fields between the two countries were discussed.
