A meeting was held between the special representatives on the process of normalization of relations between Yerevan and Ankara - the vice-speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ruben Rubinyan and Sardar Kilic.

Axar.az reports that the Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ani Badalyan said this.

The meeting was held on the Armenian-Turkish border.

It should be noted that the last meeting in this format took place on July 1, 2022 in Vienna.

The meeting of the special representatives of Armenia and Turkiye is already taking place on the Turkish side of the border.

Before the meeting, Rubinyan and Kilic toured the renovated Margara checkpoint.

Special representatives of Turkiye and Armenia on normalization, Serdar Kılıch and Ruben Rubinyan, have agreed to facilitate mutual visa procedures for holders of diplomatic/official passports.

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye .

It was emphasized that they agreed to continue the normalization process without any preconditions.

At the same time, the special representatives confirmed the issues agreed in their previous meeting.

The special representatives also agreed to assess the technical needs that would be required if the Akyaka/Akhurik railway border gate were to be operationalized in line with regional developments.
