South Azerbaijan has responded to statements made by the representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran in the Ardabil province and imam of friday prayer of Ardabil, Hassan Amoli and his subordinates.

Axar.az reports that citing the "Azad Iran" Telegram channel, photos of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan were posted on walls in various places across Tabriz.

The photos featured slogans such as "Long live the hero of Karabakh, President Aliyev!" and "Long live the conqueror of Damascus, President Erdogan!"

Activists of the South Azerbaijan National Movement expressed their protest against the insulting remarks made by Seyid Hassan Amoli and his subordinates against the leaders of Azerbaijan and Turkiye through this form of protest action. At the same time, they sought to express their support for Turkiye and Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that during an event attended by Seyid Hassan Amoli, which was broadcast on Iran’s Radio and Television Organization’s "News Network" channel, offensive remarks were made about the leaders of Azerbaijan and Turkiye.
