Axar.az reports that this was stated by Anar Bagirov, the head of the International Relations Department of the National Olympic Committee, in an interview with Oxu.az.

"Tarnish was found on the medal of Paris Summer Olympic Games medalist Kashim Magomedov. The medals of other athletes will also be inspected, and if any problems are found, they will be returned as well," Bagirov said.

It should be noted that athletes who won medals in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games returned over 100 medals to the organizing committee due to complaints about the poor quality of production. Following the first complaints, the organizing committee promised to replace the medals of all athletes who complained about deteriorating or tarnishing. However, amid the mass return of the medals, the director of the Paris Mint, Mark Schwartz, decided to dismiss three department heads of the production department.
