On January 24, the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Commander of the Land Forces, Colonel General Hikmat Mirzayev, has made an official visit to Turkiye.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by the Ministry of Defense.

It was stated that during the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation met with the Commander of the Turkish Armed Forces Land Forces, General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu.

The meeting expressed satisfaction with the current state of military cooperation between the two countries.

The discussion also covered the contributions of the Azerbaijan-Turkiye partnership to regional security and its potential development prospects.

During the meeting, the sides conducted a comprehensive exchange of views on a range of issues of common interest.
