US removes Blinken's statement on Belarus election

The new U.S. administration has removed a critical statement by former Secretary of State Antony Blinken regarding the presidential election in Belarus from the State Department's website.

Axar.az reports that Radiomir has shared this information.

"We apologize for the inconvenience," reads the page where Blinken's statement was previously published.

It should be noted that former Secretary of State Blinken had expressed doubts about the transparency of the upcoming presidential election in Belarus during a statement on January 18.

The next presidential election in Belarus is scheduled for January 26, 2025.
