The trial investigating the death of Diego Armando Maradona, the world champion and one of the most talented players in football history, has begun.

Axar.az reports that shocking images were released during the first hearing of the trial held in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires.

The former football player's lawyer revealed details about the fact of death in court. He showed a photo taken immediately after Maradona's death:

"Look, this is how Mr. Diego died. All of the accused who say, 'We don't know what happened to Maradona,' are lying. The situation is completely clear."

When the lawyer showed the photo, Maradona's daughters Dalma and Gianna burst into tears. Fans gathered around the courthouse demanded the harshest punishment for the criminals.

Recall that Maradona died on November 25, 2020, at the age of 60, in a private residence in Buenos Aires. After the funeral of the legendary football player, his relatives and friends filed a lawsuit against the doctors, accusing them of negligence. Eight people have been charged in connection with the death. If convicted, they could face up to 25 years in prison.
