A delegation from the Republic of Turkiye, including Kayseri city officials, mayors, university rectors, the heads of Kayseri city branches of political parties, and members of parliament elected from Kayseri, is visiting Azerbaijan.
Axar.az reports as part of the trip, the delegation visited Khankendi, Karabakh University, and Khojaly.
The delegation included Hulusi Akar, Chairman of the National Defense Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye and former Minister of Defense.
The guests were welcomed by representatives of the Special Presidential Office based in Khankendi.
After observing the ongoing reconstruction efforts from Victory Square, the delegation visited Karabakh University and held a meeting with students.
Later, the visitors traveled to Khojaly District, where they were briefed on the ongoing construction and restoration projects.
For reference, a sister city protocol has been signed between Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, and Kayseri, one of Turkiye’s oldest cities.
