Armenia votes for resolution condemning Russian aggression

The UN General Assembly has adopted the draft resolution “Cooperation between the United Nations and the Council of Europe” (document A/79/L.75) by a vote of 105 in favour to 9 against (Belarus, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Eritrea, Mali, Nicaragua, Niger, Russian Federation, Sudan, United States), with 33 abstentions.

Axar.az reports the resolution condemns Russia's aggression against Ukraine, among other issues.

Countries that voted in favor of the resolution include Armenia and Georgia.

Azerbaijan did not participate in the voting.

The 12-page resolution was prepared by Luxembourg and Lithuania.
