Iran’s largest online shopping platform, Digikala, has listed symbols of Azerbaijan’s national flag alongside those of the U.S. and Israel in a category labeled “enemy countries” and “prohibited items.”

Axar.az reports this information appears on the company’s official website.

The site explicitly states that items featuring the flags or symbols of countries such as the U.S., Israel, and Azerbaijan—like T-shirts and other apparel—are banned from sale.

It explains that products bearing the colors or symbols associated with “enemy” nations are prohibited because they allegedly serve political agendas that go against Iran’s system.

The inclusion of Azerbaijan in the same category as groups like ISIS and the Taliban has triggered widespread backlash on social media.

Notably, however, the Azerbaijani flag itself is not banned from being sold on the platform.
