A delegation led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev participated in the 16th International Economic Forum “Russia-Islam World: Kazan Forum 2025.”
Axar.az reports according to the Cabinet of Ministers’ press service, this year’s forum was dedicated to the theme “Digitalization: New realities and additional opportunities for expanding cooperation.”
Various platforms of the Kazan Forum discussed international partnerships, finance and investments, transport logistics, tourism, education, and healthcare cooperation.
Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister attended the plenary session and provided detailed information about the development of digitalization and ongoing projects in this field in the country.
During the visit, Shahin Mustafayev held a series of bilateral meetings with high-ranking officials, including Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Overchuk, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev, and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of the DP World Group.
The meetings focused on prospects for economic cooperation between the countries, including the development of bilateral and multilateral relations, expansion of transport and logistics capabilities, and strengthening cooperation among regional organizations. Special attention was given to joint initiatives in trade, investment, and digital technologies.
The delegation also visited the Azerbaijan stand at the “Russia Halal Expo” international exhibition, which showcases national products and services during the Forum.
