The first player set to leave Qarabag during the summer transfer window has been revealed.
Axar.az reports Qarabag has failed to reach an agreement with Yacine Benzia. Benzia posted what appeared to be a farewell message on his Instagram account yesterday.
The team’s goalkeeper, Shahruddin Mahammadaliyev, commented on the post, writing “thank you for everything.” Benzia responded by thanking Shahruddin in return.
The 30-year-old Algerian midfielder is leaving Qarabag due to financial disagreements. His contract expires this summer, and the two sides have decided not to renew it. Benzia is expected to continue his career with a club in Saudi Arabia.
Over the past 18 months, Benzia made 104 appearances for Qarabag and scored 28 goals.
