In honor of May 28- Independence Day, a boxing and K1 kickboxing tournament titled “SFIT – PROVE YOURSELF” was held in Schwelm, Germany.

Axar.az reports the event was organized with support from Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Work with Diaspora and was initiated by the Azerbaijani diaspora in Germany in collaboration with the “Fight Club Stolz” boxing club.

The tournament aimed to strengthen ties among Azerbaijani compatriots, promote healthy lifestyle, and encourage friendship and cooperation across multicultural communities.

Over 60 athletes from countries including Azerbaijan, Germany, Albania, Turkiye, and Poland took part in the tournament, competing in 27 bouts across different age and weight divisions.

Azerbaijani athlete Izzat Aslanov secured first place in the senior 60 kg category.

Winners received medals, trophies, and special prizes.

The event attracted great interest from members of Germany’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU), heads of various sports clubs, representatives of diaspora organizations, and numerous sports fans.
