Several families of US, Chinese, Australian and Iranian origin were evacuated from Iran via Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that since the morning, citizens have been allowed to pass through the "Astara" State Border Exit Point.

Special offices have been set up outside the exit point. Representatives of diplomatic missions of different countries receive their citizens here. Each evacuee expressed gratitude for the good treatment they received from the Azerbaijani side and for the comfortable and safe passage.

Foreign citizens who have traveled a long way and had to wait for several hours at the customs post on the Iranian side are provided with medical assistance if necessary.
