French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron have arrived in the United Kingdom for a three-day official visit.

Axar.az reports that an eye-catching incident occurred between the couple in the very first minutes of the visit.

Macron extended his hand to help his wife, Brigitte, while she was stepping off the plane. However, Brigitte preferred to hold onto the railing instead of taking her husband's hand. Since Macron’s hand was left hanging in the air, a slight tension arose between them. Later, the French president kissed the hand of Princess Kate of the United Kingdom as part of the official greeting protocol.

It should be noted that during a previous trip to Vietnam, as Brigitte Macron was preparing to get off the plane, she slapped French President Emmanuel Macron.
