The export of Azerbaijani gas to Syria via Turkiye has officially begun.

Axar.az reports that at the opening ceremony, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, the head of Qatar Development Fund Fahad Hamad Al-Sulaiti, Turkiye's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, and Syria’s Minister of Energy Mohammad Al-Bashir gave speeches before symbolically turning a valve on stage, marking the launch of Azerbaijani gas supply to Syria.

The ministers also signed the pipeline as part of the ceremony.
