The delivery of Azerbaijani gas to Syria is a form of support for the country’s reconstruction.

Axar.az reports that Syria’s Minister of Energy, Mohammad Al-Bashir, made this statement on August 2 during the ceremony held in the Turkish city of Kilis, marking the start of Azerbaijani gas transmission to Syria via Turkish territory.

“I thank the governments of Azerbaijan and Turkiye for their support in improving the welfare and reconstruction of Syria, which has suffered from years of war,” he said.
