On September 27, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, attended the opening of the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex.
Axar.az reports that Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov briefed the President on the facilities at the complex.
It was noted that the complex, construction of which began in 2024, covers an area of 5.8 hectares. It includes outdoor sports fields, a stadium, and an 1,100-seat multi-purpose sports hall for wrestling, judo, artistic gymnastics, boxing, kickboxing, taekwondo, karate, fitness, and gym training. In addition, the complex features a conference hall, café, rooms for referees, coaches, doctors, and commentators, a restaurant, and a 42-room hotel.
During the III Games of the Commonwealth of Independent States, hosted by Azerbaijan, boxing competitions will be held at the Yevlakh Olympic Sports Complex.
