A bilateral cooperation plan for 2026–2027 has been signed between the Ministries of Defence of Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom.

Axar.az reports the information was shared on the X account of the British Embassy in Azerbaijan.

“The United Kingdom is proud of its close cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of defence and its role in the Strategic Partnership.

Yesterday, the UK Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan signed the 2026/27 Defence Bilateral Cooperation Plan.

We look forward to working closely together to achieve our shared priorities," the post said.

The United Kingdom’s full removal of its arms embargo on Azerbaijan has created new opportunities for defence cooperation between the two countries.
