Uraloglu: Trilateral talks depend on Azerbaijan’s consent

A trilateral meeting between the transport ministers of Turkiye, Azerbaijan, and Armenia may be held if Azerbaijan agrees.

Axar.az, reports that Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu said this.

Uraloglu emphasized that holding such a meeting entirely depends on Azerbaijan’s position:

“We frequently meet with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev. I have also met several times with Armenia’s transport minister. A trilateral meeting can only take place with Azerbaijan’s consent. If Baku agrees, we are fully ready, as Azerbaijan’s stance is of great importance to us.”

The minister added that preparations for the Zangezur Corridor are well advanced and that Turkiye and Azerbaijan have worked in close coordination:

“Once the peace process is fully implemented, we already have a clear plan for our next steps. All necessary preparations have been made. We have previously completed many joint projects, so there will be no need to repeat those efforts.”
