Azerbaijan’s emergency minister visits Malaysia

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov, has paid a visit to Malaysia.

Axar.az reports that within the framework of the visit, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov met with the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysia Civil Defence Force, Mohammad Abidin Abd Rahman.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that amid climate change, the increasing intensity of natural disasters, and technogenic accidents, the importance of international cooperation in the field of emergency management has grown further.

It was noted that within the framework of cooperation based on friendship and mutual trust between the two countries, the exchange of experience in disaster and crisis management between the relevant emergency authorities of Azerbaijan and Malaysia, as well as the implementation of joint training and professional development programs, would be mutually beneficial. In this context, confidence was expressed that the current visit and discussions would contribute to the expansion of relations.

The meeting also featured a broad exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
