Ali Asadov meets Northern Cyprus Prime Minister

Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with the Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus, Unal Ustel.

Axar.az informs, citing the Cabinet of Ministers, that during the meeting, the current state and development prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus in various fields were discussed.

The intensity of high-level reciprocal visits, as well as cooperation through interparliamentary channels and political parties, was positively assessed.

The importance of expanding ties in the humanitarian sphere, particularly in culture and tourism, was also emphasized.

The significance of cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was highlighted, and Northern Cyprus’s contributions as an observer to the organization’s activities were noted.

Attention was drawn to the importance of the meeting of Heads of Government/Vice Presidents of OTS member states held in Baku. The event was seen as vital for strengthening intergovernmental coordination and advancing the common agenda in priority areas identified by the heads of state.
