On April 29, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Valeria Csukasi, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay.
Axar.az reports, during the meeting, the discussions focused on the current state and development of bilateral relations. The officials stressed the importance of fostering political dialogue, intensifying reciprocal visits, and advancing interagency collaboration.
The meeting praised the agreement on cooperation between the diplomatic academies of both countries, while also reviewing opportunities for personnel training, expertise sharing, and holding joint training programs. Additionally, they discussed efforts towards visa liberalization to facilitate the mutual travel of nationals.
The sides highlighted the importance of last year’s visit to Uruguay by a delegation led by the First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, noting its positive contribution to the development of trade and economic ties. They underscored the significance of the continuity of such contacts.
The meeting also featured an exchange of views on cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
On the same day, another round of political consultations between Azerbaijan and Uruguay was held. The consultations were led by Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov and Uruguayan Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Valeria Csukasi.
