COP29, the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), was also successfully organized, similar to COP29.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev during his meeting with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed.

The head of state expressed gratitude to the UN leadership for its support in hosting WUF13, noting that the Government of Azerbaijan and the UN Human Settlements Programme worked as a single team to ensure the success of the event.

President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that WUF13 is the second major global event held in Azerbaijan in terms of participant numbers after COP29, and stressed that, like COP29, the forum was successfully organized.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that Azerbaijan and the United Nations have maintained successful cooperation for many years, with the country being an active member of the organization and making important contributions to the implementation of its programs and initiatives. It was also noted with satisfaction that various international UN events have been hosted in Azerbaijan at a high level.
